MEET Sarah Mae Bragg

After spending the last few years pursuing my undergrad in Biblical Studies in sweet home Alabama, I live in the Dallas, TX area, pursuing long-term cross-cultural ministry training. Currently, I work in the nonprofit world, providing social-emotional learning to refugee children in an afterschool space.

I have a lot of love for hearing the stories of others, and storytelling, myself. I long to empower the powerless with the truth of Jesus, arming the nations with divine esteem, just as the Gospel provides. You can find me “getting passionate,” as my friends and family refers to my boisterous zeal, about Renaissance art, Biblical Greek, the Inklings’ work, fair-trade coffee, or Walt Disney.

WHY "REDEEMING LAUGHTER"?

My namesake, Sarah in the book of Genesis laughed when she heard God was going to do the impossible in her life. Later on in the narrative of Christ, in the book of Proverbs, the writer describes a woman who "laughs at days to come." Instead of laughing in doubt at the hand of God, I long to learn to laugh in joy and faith of what the Sovereign Lord will do in my life. The author of the book of Hebrews wrote that by faith Sarah considered God faithful, so will I.
